Significance of immediate dentin sealing and flowable resin coating reinforcement for unfilled/lightly filled adhesive systems

چکیده

Background Immediate dentin sealing implies applying an adhesive system to directly after tooth preparation, before impression. The technique is universal (inlays, onlays, veneers, crowns) and well documented clinically experimentally. Different types of bonding agents (DBAs) are available on the market. Major differences lie in thickness hybrid layer overlaying resin (filled vs. unfilled/lightly filled adhesives). Objective objective this work provide precise clinical instructions present new experimental data about bond strength five DBAs (Optibond FL, Scotchbond MP, Single Bond Plus, Clearfil SE Bond, Universal) used conventionally (dentin sealed at time restoration delivery) or with immediate sealing, as additional flowable coating. Methods Seventy-five human molars were selected, restored/tested according microtensile method. Fifteen groups (n=5) obtained from combination three application modes: delayed Results It appears that was confirmed significantly improve all tested adhesives. use a coating reinforcement increased adhesives (from 233% increase for ScotchBond up 560% Bond) maintained performance 3-step golden standard adhesive. Interactions between resin‐based temporary materials and immediate dentin sealing

Background Bonded indirect restorations are laboratory fabricated and requires at least two appointments: one for provisionalization and one for luting. In the first appointment, an impression is immediately taken after tooth preparation, followed by a provisional treatment, which traditionally consists of luting a temporary restoration. After the indirect restoration fabrication, the temporary...

Sealing and dentin bond strengths of adhesive systems.

The objectives of this research were (1) to analyze the variations of the permeability of dentin after restoration with two polyacid-modified resin composites (Compoglass, Dyract) and four single-bottle adhesives (Prime & Bond 2.0, Syntac Single Component, OptiBond Solo, and Single Bond--Scotch Bond 1 in Europe--immediately (approximately 1 hour) after insertion. A perfusion system with distill...

Microtensile bond strength of adhesive systems to dentin with or without application of an intermediate flowable resin layer.

This study evaluated the effect of flowable composite resin application on the microtensile bond strength (microTBS) of adhesive systems to dentin. Occlusal surfaces of human third molars were ground to obtain flat dentin surfaces. The crown of each tooth was sectioned occluso-gingivally into four quarters with a water-cooled diamond saw. One of the following adhesive systems was applied to den...

Efficacy of Hydrophobic Layer on Sealing Ability of Dentin Adhesive Systems in Class V Composite Resin Restorations

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Adhesive permeability is hindered by application of an additional layer of hydrophobic resin, which increases its concentration within the hydrophilic layer, reduces its affinity to water, and enhances its physical prop-erties. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of a hydrophobic layer on the microleakage of class V composite restorations using different ...

Interfacial microscopic examination and chemical analysis of resin-dentin interface of self-adhering flowable resin

The newly introduced self-adhering flowable resin-composites Background: decrease the required time for application by incorporation of an acidic adhesive monomer, thus reducing the number of steps, but its bonding is still uncertain. The aim of this study was to evaluate the interfacial microscopic examination and chemical analysis at the resin-dentin interface of a self-adhering flowable resi...
